Colored contact lenses come in three types: visibility, opaque, and enhancement tints.

Visibility lenses – Are usually tinted with a light blue or green only for you to see them if they fall out. They do not change the actual color of your eye, they are just colored lenses.

Opaque lenses – Are deeper, darker colors that change your whole eye. If you have darker eyes to begin with you will want these.

Enhancement lenses – Are a solid color but completely see through. They are used to enhance your eye colors. If you have lighter eyes and want to darken them up, these lenses are perfect.
