Making Use of Mini Loaf Pans
When there is baking to be done it is not always necessary to bake a full loaf which is why the range of mini loaf pans has been created. Small loaves and exotic types of breads such as banana bread and walnut bread are made in the ideal size with these pans that measure approximately 3” x 5”.
These pans are available either singly so you can bake your bread loaves by themselves or as joined pans of 4, 6 or more. The joined pans would be fine to use if you are going to regularly churn out multiple small loaves at a time. However the normal situation might be to bake just a single loaf at a time.
When you go looking for the ideal type of mini loaf pan to buy, make sure you consider the non-stick pans. These pans will avoid the problem of having to grease the pan or line it with paper to stop the finished product from sticking. It will also ensure that washing up when finished is a simple task.
So what would you make in mini loaf pans? There are many delicious recipes that can be turned out from these small pans such as banana bread, pear bread as well as main meals such as single serves of meatloaf.
One of the points that should be noted is the baking time that is required when using these mini pans. The pans are so small that they cook at a much quicker rate than when larger pans are used and so you can safely adjust the cooking time to around a quarter of the recommended time that would be required should a large baking pan be used.
In the summer time we have often used our mini loaf pans as the containers for making the perfect sized blocks of ice for adding to our water cooler. Although not a completely recommended use for the pans, they are tough enough to withstand the freezing conditions.
The durability and the reliability of mini loaf pans belie their size and you can be certain that these small baking pans will last for a great deal of time.
